Do I pay per user?
No. You pay one price for your whole team: €5 a month for up to 20 users and €10 a month for up to 100 users (billed yearly, excluding VAT). Teams of up to 3 users use the app for free, forever.
How does the Odoo integration work?
Your employees sign in to TimeViking, not to Odoo. The app reads projects, tasks and employees from your Odoo and writes the hours back under the matching Odoo employee. There are three ways to connect: with our free Odoo module (no API keys, for Odoo.sh and your own server), or through the Odoo API without a module, also on Odoo Online with the Custom plan: with one bot user for the whole team, or with a personal API key per user (then only your own hours and time off). The wizard in Settings › Odoo tells you exactly which permissions are needed, and nothing more.
Is the free plan really free?
Yes, forever, for teams of up to 3 users, and without ads. When your team grows, you choose a plan for up to 20 or up to 100 users; that's what funds the free plan.
Which Odoo versions are supported?
Odoo 18, 19 and 20, Community and Enterprise, on Odoo.sh, on your own server, or on Odoo Online with the Custom plan.
How do I get my hours into Excel or a PDF?
The monthly timesheet per employee is a PDF; you design the layout yourself in the template editor, with your logo, colours and signature boxes. From the hours report, you export to Excel or CSV, per project, customer, person or week.
Can I use working schedules and time off from Odoo?
Yes, with Odoo 18, 19 and 20. We read the working schedule and public holidays from Odoo, so you know how many hours you're expected to work each day. You request time off in the app; it then appears in Odoo Time Off too, with your balance. Your manager approves it in Odoo, as usual, and the app shows the decision straight away. For this, give the technical user in Odoo the Time Off: Officer role. Without that role, hours still sync; only time off doesn't.
Who can see my time off?
You, your manager and the administrator can see what kind of time off it is. Colleagues only see in the team calendar that you're away, not why. We don't read the reason you enter in Odoo. If you withdraw a request, the reason isn't sent to Odoo but stays in the app.
Can I use the planning from Odoo?
Not yet. Odoo's Planning module only exists in Enterprise; we're working on the integration, but it isn't available yet. Without Enterprise, the app shows no planning.
What happens after 30 days?
If you have 3 users or fewer, you simply carry on with the free plan. If you have more, you choose a paid plan; otherwise your workspace becomes read-only and you can export everything.
Will I see ads in the app?
No. Not on the website and not in the app, not even on the free plan.
Where is my data stored?
In the EU, in a separate database per customer. See the privacy policy.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, in the app. Your subscription runs until the end of the paid period.
How does VAT work?
Belgian customers pay 21%. Businesses in the EU with a valid VAT number: the reverse charge applies. Consumers in the EU pay the rate of their own country.
