Odoo integration
Odoo stays the source of truth. Your team works here.
Odoo 18, 19 and 20, Community and Enterprise, on Odoo Online (Custom), Odoo.sh or your own server. Connect with our free module or through the Odoo API, no module needed.
Three ways to connect
Pick what suits your Odoo: the free module, or simply Odoo's own API, with one bot user for the whole team or with a personal API key per user. The API route needs no module, so it also works on Odoo Online (Custom plan): no own server or Odoo.sh required. If you can install modules, the module is an extra option.
With the module
Free module from the Odoo Apps Store
- Who it's for
- Teams on Odoo.sh or their own server, where an administrator can install modules.
- What you need
- Install the free module. It sets exactly the rights it needs by itself.
- What you get
- No API keys to manage or renew and no technical user. Timesheets, projects, time off and schedules for the whole team.
Does not work on Odoo Online: custom modules can't run there. Use one of the API options instead.
No module
Bot user with an API key
- Who it's for
- The whole team, on Odoo Online (Custom), Odoo.sh or your own server. Nothing to install.
- What you need
- One technical user with the Project and Timesheets (all timesheets) roles, and its API key. The wizard lists the roles.
- What you get
- Everyone's hours, including colleagues without their own Odoo user. Time off and schedules with the extra roles.
The bot is one internal user in Odoo. On Odoo 19 and 20 the app renews its key itself.
No module
Personal API key per user
- Who it's for
- People with their own Odoo user, when a bot isn't possible or wanted.
- What you need
- An Odoo user with at least Timesheets (own timesheets) and an API key from their own profile.
- What you get
- Your own hours and your own time off, straight into Odoo, with the rights you already have.
With such a key Odoo only allows your own data: you can't see or write colleagues' hours.
| Free module | Bot user | Personal API key | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Odoo Online (Custom) | No, custom modules can't run there | Yes | Yes |
| Odoo.sh and your own server | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Install in Odoo | The free module | Nothing | Nothing |
| API keys | None | One, for the bot | One per user |
| Key renewal | Not needed | Automatic on 19 and 20; every 90 days on 18, with a reminder | As with the bot, per key |
| What the app sees | Everyone's timesheets, projects, time off and schedule | Everyone's timesheets; time off and schedule with the extra roles | Only your own timesheets and time off |
What gets synchronised
From Odoo
- Companies and employees
- Projects with timesheets enabled, their tasks and planned hours
- Working schedules, public holidays and time-off balances
To Odoo
- The hours you log here, under the right employee and company
- Time-off requests, approved by your manager in Odoo Time Off
- Changes and deletions
Changes flow both ways. If someone edits the same entry in Odoo, Odoo wins, and you can restore your version with one click. Whatever has been validated in Odoo stays locked here.
Honest about the limitations
Odoo Online Standard and One App Free have no API, so no integration can connect to them, ours included. You can export your hours and import them into Odoo instead, or move to Odoo's Custom plan.
